It’s a clip show, stitched together by Simon Farnaby’s hilariously cheesy Death (and his skeleton mum) introducing each clip as part of his top twelve scary things.  Since the show is structured around digging up the weird and gross from history, the selections shown here don’t feel too far off from what’s normally seen, making the special feel a bit ‘loose’ in construction.  But Farnaby is great, and his new additions for this special are as funny as anything else the show does.  Plus, the clips are certainly culled from different years, so unless you’ve watched all of HH, you’ll probably see something you haven’t before (though with that familiar “didn’t they cover this previously?” tang the show gets after a while), and be re-reminded of how inventive this troupe is.  (And how annoyingly catchy their song parodies are.)
