Right. 1. Look at the cover. (…on, uh, Netflix.) There are hardly any guns or flames in this movie. It is not an action movie at all. It is mostly a drama. 2. This movie is incredibly boring, and is actually one star. Its not horrible – I mean, its a no-budget, so those are never going to be great, but the acting is mostly tolerable (there are worse actors), and the script is mostly tolerable (there are worse scripts), and the sound coverage was actually pretty good for probably only having one mic, its just that theres really nothing grabbing going on here. The movie starts with a flashback about three kids in the ghetto making a promise to have each-others backs, and then flash-forward and theyre adults with adult problems… Eventually something emerges with one of the friends having to deal with his little brother being jailed for drug-hustling, but… well… Its like several plot-lines from an day-time drama weakly strung together for a movie. Not bad, just wicked boring as hell. 3. As I said, its one star. Im giving it two because… even though I suspect that a church commissioned this or something, cause they drop of lot of the big g-o-d into it, they do show the leads cheating and swearing, getting mixed up with some drug business, but still promoting a pretty real life positive message. Its not overly cheery, but its also not stupid urban gotta do what ya gotta do message that most of these films tout. So one extra star for trying to bring some realistic positivity to real life.
