Done in tribute to Sunburned Hand of the Man and Sunroof! contributor Marc Orleans, ‘Void’ gives us ten solid minutes of Sunroof!’s wavy feedback, steadily overlain with a more prominent guitar line. The lil’ description on the bandcamp page for this mentions “a happarition glimpsed,” and that seems fitting: it’s a bit empty; mirage-like. An amorphous thing you see in your peripherals. As such, it’s hard for me to well up much reaction to the track, except in how it sounds… very much like Sunroof!, though something in the middle of brasher entries.

Why Bower occasionally goes under the “Chromium” moniker, and how one might sonically tie this to Marc Orleans, if at all – I don’t know and can’t say.
