The first issue of The Goon for a quarter.  What more could you ask for?  …How about an exclusive (I believe) Bastards back-up story?  Granted!

You get it all in the first book: the full Zombie Priest setup that hangs around for the next 20 issues or so; ridiculously pulpy gags with funny “You dirty egg-suckin’ dog!” splash pages; touches of Powell’s mixed paint / pencil art style; and a general sense of the swirl of plot and nonsense that made those initial issues so much fun.

I thought the colors were tweaked a bit to be brighter on some pages, but I can’t say for sure.  Either way, the original is quality color / printing, and if there are changes, they’re pretty subtle.  There’s really no need to upscale it anyway: it still looks good.
