If you’re gonna go the whole titillation adult comics route, this is actually… not bad! While the barely-there plot is just North of tolerable, and frankly doesn’t reach laugh out loud territory, it definitely maintains chuckles, and creator Sean Harrington loops in his nudity and sex as story beats instead of I’m-confused-by-my-erection moments, i.e. superspy Lana is quite aware of her pinup quality and uses her wiles to avoid other work, depicted via comedic cutaway timing. There’s also some artistic mastery on display, as the coloring and characters are madly digital, but Sean manages to layer it with the linework so as not to look cheap or distracting. Marvel dudes can’t often manage that, y’all.
This exists on the same continuum as 80s Babes and Bullets flicks, though maybe a dash more self-aware and less directly macho (though I’m not trying to justify this as non-objectifying). If Harrington ups the comedy quotient, there’s potential for it to overcome its status as a curiosity, but nonetheless, this is adult material you wouldn’t have to be ashamed of keeping in your collection.
