Penn & Teller: Bullsh*t! – Season 6

4 out of 5

Directors: TV people

Incredibly entertaining if lacking in any real notion-shattering material, Season 6 continues the B.S. trend of taking accepted concepts and knocking them down in a cynical, semi-reasonable fashion. As usual, toleration of swearing and nudity is required, and Penn and Teller play it all tongue and cheek enough that most with a slight sense of humor should be able to watch it easily enough. The four stars, for better or worse, is for entertainment value. This is very watchable stuff. But only a couple of episodes really hit home – the season opener about porn is amazing, and new age medicine and stranger danger are well presented. The rest are slightly fluffy and dont really seem to prove or disprove anything, such as the difficult Nasa episode and especially the Good ol days episode. Still: more compelling than the majority of TV.
