………………………………..7 Seconds………………………………..

2 gibbles out of 5

Director: Simon Fellows

So I love Bruce Willis to the extent that I’ll watch any Bruce Willis film. And you take something like “Striking Distance” and you realize it’s not that great, but you don’t rate it on a scale with all other movies, you rate it on a Bruce Willis scale and it’s not all that bad. 7 Seconds is sort of like that for Wesley Snipes. Not that Mr. Snipes has flirted with the likes of a “Die Hard” in his life, but he’s made some quality action and then he’s made some straight to video stuff.

7 Seconds was entertaining and mostly un-boring. You know where it’s going, right through to the silly “twist,” but that’s not the point of these movies. The point is to be completely average and take up 90 minutes of your time and this movie does that with solid enough acting, decent action, and actually, to its credit, no real eye-rolling-worthy scenes. Don’t run out to see it but if you’re just scrolling for random action and you think Mr. Snipes be charming, give it a go.
