Gorgeous. Obviously you need to be a fan of Fiffe’s work for this to be of interest, supposing you are or that it caught your eye somehow, you get about 20 pages of full-page artwork, plus front and back cover images, plus inner front and back cover images, plus a rundown of each character in the back (and, if applicable, the creator / designer of the version Fiffe references).
While Portfolio 2 lacks some of the context notes from the previous Portfolio, all of the artwork feels so above and beyond that you spend just as much time studying each image as you would with some extra notes to read. Plus, we again get a nice range of Michel’s styles, from Image-mimicry to Aparo / Ordway tics, to sketchier stuff, to more experimental layouts. They’re are also a couple of awesome 2-page character / team tributes which rock.
Beautiful stuff.
