Solid rockers from (generally) instrumental group Marvin, syncing up their style with a fun cover and matching B-side.

DEVO cover Girl You Want allows the group’s crunchy keys their place, and Marvin does it straight – vocals and all. Things are rocked up significantly such that there’s no 80s taint to this thing and making it more attributable to the band, while also proving the enduring nature of DEVO’s hooks.

The other side is a well-chosen pairing: an unflashy, head bobbing rocker that gives us a nice grounding in keys and beats with a krautrock, metronomic quality.

Bread and butter stuff for Marvin that does the job well.
