Enjoyable if somewhat indistinct late-era LaL tracks.
Lazy Soldier – which appeared in a more ramshackle version on Greks II – is a punker (like a Destination 2000 track), and Oasis is a slowburn jam, something that would’ve felt appropriate on Sam Jayne‘s solo album, or is otherwise somewhere between Laughter’s Fifth‘s pop-rock and Holy‘s stoner jams. Both tracks are toe tappers, and the recording / group places a really pleasant focus on the keyboards, but neither has either the most standout riff or lyric. …Though they both do have significant riffage; it was too bad we never got to see a fuller album or EP borne of this style.
