4 out of 5

Yeah boyee – who ordered the four songs in five minutes ? And what is it you do to create an act that could play such songs as full compositions and not technical wizardry noodling or scream pummeling? HOW DID YOU MAKE EX FAUNA A REALITY AND HOW CAN YOU DO IT AGAIN?
What is printed on the tin: four songs, three at a minute, one at two minutes. This edges more toward punk than anything, and of the childish variety, with glorious lyrics to support song titles like Shit-Stained Teeth, but Ex Fauna keep their cool on these things, playing their precious seconds like legit songs and not jokes or guitar wank sessions.
It’s fun, it’s quick, it’s heavy, and you even get a bonus track (on the digital version) of “weird” with the remix-y “ventihyperlate.”
Stuffed into appropriately childlike but complex packaging by Auris Apothecary.
