A fun and fast stop-gap EP on the way to their Touch-and-Go album.
Two tracks, two covers, two noises.
The two originals – the opener on side A and middle track on side B – are good-natured, speedy rockers, with crisp and impressive stickwork and a slightly punkier surf riff. The covers I’m not smart enough to know, but they’re played to fall in line with the other tracks, i.e. peppy paced, although their presumed poppier origins are kept in tact. The noise stuff is just filler, but it vibes with the sci-fi shtick and works as effective filler between tracks. Nothing that screams to be tracked down, but a condensed dollop of energy from MoA is a good thing.
