5 out of 5
Pretty pictures by Fiffe.
But, as usual, the man goes above and beyond, giving us a rundown of who created the character, who owns the character, and some notes on each picture. The page printing quality is also outtasite; the Copra books are quality too, but this is downright glossy, showing off every detail and glowing color gorgeously. What’s best about this, though, is that it gives us a view of Fiffe’s different styles, from his madly sketchy Batman / Robocop to the cleanliness of his Private Eye character to the surreally garish detailing of The Witch-King of Angmar.
An art book for five bucks, jesus. I’ve flipped through this countless times already. If you have any appreciation for Michel’s work, there’s really no reason not to own this.
