Kate’s work has an undeniable impact.
As entrancing as Zero Is, Incision is a haunting, perplexing contemplation on / blurring the lines between male and female, creation, and, as I “see” Kate’s visual interpretations, the bodily ‘theft’ of such an act. Repulsion and beauty cross lines in hatch marks upon a science-afflicted body, rubber-gloved hands cutting apart, removing, and inserting things until the ultimate and inevitable union.
Presented in a six-panel grid, fully colored. And mesmerizing.
