Yes, it’s the same routine for these singles from Seiko: two album tracks, one non-album track, my opinion swayed by whether or not I think the album tracks are highlighted well, and if the new track is worthwhile.

Featuring two tracks from 洗脳 – the title track and 私は面白い絶対面白いたぶん – this single pairs two excellent songs from an already excellent album together, both showing off Seiko’s wild range of swinging between pop and rock and weird. 洗脳 is one of my favorite Oomori albums, so it’s hard to say if this single presents the songs in any especially new context, or a better one than the full experience; at the very least, because both tunes are pretty overpowered, having the new song be a stripped down acoustic one actually makes a lot of sense.

裏 doesn’t necessarily feature any Oomori hallmarks – her singing is pretty steady; the tune straightforward – but it’s a quality song singer-songwriter tune, if unremarkable on the whole. Meaning that the single is not without listening value, but also not a must-have unless you’re a collector.
